Leith Ross Discusses Latest Album and Creating the Perfect Tour Environment

I had the opportunity to speak with the lovely Leith Ross about their latest album, “A Glimpse Into The Future”. Ross’ standout song “We’ll Never Have Sex” led to a huge rising social presence and created a different voice to music today. When talking about the album, Ross described it as an obvious motion shift from the songs from their previous work and explained the new album as presenting feelings of nostalgia, being “on the move”, and romance. During the album writing process, Ross was trying to figure out where exactly they wanted to fit in in the world and what they wanted to inspire in others while listening to the album.

While listening to the album, half of it was super personal and the second half is about finding an understanding of the world. During the interview with Leith Ross, they talked about their upcoming tour, the songs they were excited to perform and the atmosphere they wanted to create. The songs they were most excited to sing are the love song, “Point of View”, and the personal songs “Grieving” and “I Will”. The environment that Ross plans to create during the tour is a comforting, less intimidating environment where they can connect with fans and everyone present can enjoy their time.

During the interview call, Ross gave everyone a sneak peak of their song “Stay” and while it is no surprise Ross is an amazing artist, this song is on a whole other level. One verse from the song that really stuck with me was:

“My bread is your bread

And my water’s your water

I couldn't be fed

And not share in this altar

‘Cause I cannot be

Human alone”.

To me this felt like it is okay to let people in and let them get to know who one really is.

I have no doubt in my mind that “Maybe I Can See The Future” will become the next big album, and I fully believe that anyone who has the chance to attend a Leith Ross concert should go and embrace the moment.
