Trestles’ Sophomore Album “SALT” Has Something For Everyone

Sophomore album “SALT” from Santa Cruz’s Trestles pushes and pulls like the ocean they call home— alternately introspective and sweeping, idiosyncratic and roaring. Released September 26th, the band has expanded on their “beach rock” label to create an album where no song sounds like the other. Highlights include opener “Head First” with its almost sultry lead guitar riff, rock your socks-off dance tunes “Shake My Hand” and “Get A Grip,” and the emo-ish jam “Point Break (1991).” “SALT” has something for everyone, and just like a summer sunrise, it’s worth the effort to get to it ASAP.
